Job Title: Sales Estimator

Location: Newport

Contract: Permanent

Monday to Friday

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

We are looking to recruit a Sales Estimator for a well-established client based in Newport you will be responsible for delivering a complete sales and customer service experience from start to finish.

You should have experience in reading site plans and technical drawings. You will be responsible for responding to customer enquiries and providing timely, accurate quotations. Building strong customer relationships by offering technical solutions and ensuring high levels of customer service will also be key aspects of the role.

Duties:

•           Respond promptly to customer enquiries via phone, email, website, and trade counter

•           Extract product requirements from customer drawings and site plans

•           Attend customer meetings and site visits as necessary

•           Provide costed estimates for bespoke products

•           Offer competitive pricing while maintaining strong profit margins

•           Follow up on quotations, reporting on outcomes and customer feedback

•           Maintain an organized electronic filing system with customer drawings, quotations, build schedules, and correspondence

•           Identify market and product opportunities, presenting findings to management

•           Support marketing efforts and contribute to technical updates on the company’s website and social media platforms

•           Comply with all company policies, procedures, and processes

•           Assist in the overall smooth operation and continuous improvement of the company

Ideal candidate will have:

Experience in a similar role is essential

Strong sales and customer service skills are required

Confident phone manner and excellent written and verbal communication skills

Effective time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage workloads efficiently

Problem-solving abilities are crucial

Familiarity with the housebuilding or construction industry is preferred
