Senior Occupational Therapist

Abergavenny, Monmouthshire

Hours37.5 - Full Time

You will be working at a large forensic mental health hospital providing a secure environment consisting of medium, low and open rehabilitation settings for men and women with mental illness and or personality disorder.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an expanding Therapy Service.

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and creative Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Occupational Therapy team.

Responsibilities will also include being involved in reducing restrictive interventions (including being involved in managing incidents of violence and aggression where required), good clinical note taking, planning skills, good time management and engagement in department meetings and supervision.

Qualification - Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with the HCPC.

Experience - experience of working in a healthcare setting and/or working with clients with mental health diagnosis or challenging behaviours would be desirable. However, there will be training and learning opportunities.
