Assistant Finance Business Partner

We are seeking an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join the Finance team of a well-known organisation in Conwy, which plays a pivotal role in enabling positive change and shaping commercial thinking through data-driven analytical insight. This role is crucial in facilitating decisions that maximise social impact and improve value for our tenants and service users, while ensuring the financial sustainability of the group.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Prepare and present annual budgets, management accounts, and future forecasts to Managers, the Leadership Team, and Board Members to support the Business Plan.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate information for the Management Accounts.
  • Utilise and set up processes, procedures, and contracts to optimise financial operations.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects and identify process improvements.
  • Assist with the statutory accounts as required.
  • Support the Finance Business Partner in leading the Finance function and deputise when necessary.
  • Input financial data for benchmarking purposes with other Registered Social Landlords.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • AAT fully qualified or equivalent qualification or evidenced experience.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting annual budgets and management accounts to Managers, Executives, and Board Members.
  • Proficient in monthly reconciliations and setting up financial processes, procedures, and contracts.
  • Capable of undertaking ad-hoc projects and identifying process improvements.
  • Experience in supporting statutory accounts.
  • Excellent budget management skills.
  • Ability to write reports for financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, and influencing skills.
  • Competent in managing competing priorities and producing accurate information within set timescales.
  • Proactive in analysing and interpreting financial information to inform business decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word - Basic user level, Excel - Intermediate level.
