Pertemps is seeking Postal Delivery Workers for the Royal Mail in Abertillery due to increased demand.
The role requires a 2pm start and finishes around 8pm, with shifts scheduled five days a week, including weekends.
The hourly rate is £13.37 per hour PAYE, with an increased rate of £14.49 per hour on Sundays and £15.68 per hour for overtime after 40 hours worked.
Candidates should be self-motivated and enjoy working outdoors, and while previous customer-facing experience is preferred, it is not essential.
A full UK manual driving licence is required, and applicants must pass a DBS security check before starting.

You will collect your allocated vehicle or trolley and your hand-held computer device (detailing your route and tracking your mail) and then deliver the letters and parcels to your local community.About You- The ideal candidate for this role will be upbeat, self-motivated, and happy to work alone as well as part of a team.- You will be helpful and approachable displaying a strong sense of community, as you get to know the people you meet on your round.- Royal Mail deliver parcels whatever the weather, so you will enjoy working outdoors and due to the amount of walking required you will need to be relatively fit and healthy.- You will be smartly presented, always acting in a professional and courteous manner.Previous Experience- Some previous experience in a customer facing or delivery role would be ideal but not essential.- You will be required to complete a full DBS security check prior to commencing work.- Driving licence requirements- A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address)- Maximum 6 penalty points- Unfortunately, we are unable to accept IN/DD/DR/CD endorsementsIf you are interested in this role, please apply online or contact Pertemps South Wales on .
