Job Title: Youth Tutor

Salary: Up to 25,000 per Annum

Location: Abertillery

Reporting to: Area Manager

Contract: Full time Permanent

Purpose:
To provide a structured learning and employability framework for youth learners, ensuring the attainment of positive outcomes through the delivery of classroom and vocational assessment and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct learner assessments and inductions.
  • Deliver structured lessons using various teaching strategies.
  • Provide tailored support to learners with specific needs.
  • Assist learners in achieving qualifications and progressing.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with professional and company standards.

General Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard company assets and comply with policies.
  • Adhere to safeguarding, equality, and quality assurance guidelines.
  • Promote the organisation and its values.
  • Identify and report risks to Health & Safety.
  • Attend training and professional development.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Relevant training experience and qualifications.
  • Experience working with young people.
  • Qualified or willing to work towards CAVA, ESW Level 2, AON Level 2.
  • Occupational competence in relevant areas.

Desirable:

  • PGCE, TAQA, or equivalent training qualifications.
  • Experience with vulnerable adults.
  • Full driving licence and own vehicle.
