Youth Tutor

Brook Street Social Care are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Tutor to join the team, providing learning and employability frameworks to youth learners. You will support learners through classroom-based and vocational training, helping them achieve positive outcomes and progress in their personal and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments and interviews with learners, utilizing various tools.
  • Deliver inductions, covering digital platforms, curriculum, and qualifications.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons, using a variety of teaching strategies and materials.
  • Support learners with diverse needs, including pre-entry level and those with specific learning requirements.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and provide progress reviews.
  • Collaborate with the learners' Lead Worker to identify progression opportunities.
  • Ensure all required training and learner documentation is completed accurately and timely.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver a high-quality learner experience.

What we will need from you:

  • Relevant training experience
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Experience working with young people, and a commitment to fostering inclusion and growth.
  • Ideally you would have the relevant qualifications (e.g., CAVA, PGCE, ESW Level 2), experience working with vulnerable adults, and a full driving license.
