What You’ll Be DoingJoin our team as a Biomedical Scientist in Haematology/Transfusion and contribute to high-quality diagnostic services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing a range of haematology and transfusion science tests using automated and manual techniques

  • Operating and maintaining haematology analysers and blood transfusion equipment

  • Ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols and quality control measures

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care

  • Maintaining high standards in all laboratory procedures

  • Assisting with the interpretation and validation of test results

Requirements & QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you should have:

  • HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist

  • NHS experience in Haematology and/or Blood Transfusion

  • Experience with Sysmex and Ortho ideal 

  • Strong knowledge of quality control and laboratory standards

  • Full-time availability (we are unable to provide sponsorship)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient laboratory services

Working Hours & Contract DurationThis role requires availability from Monday to Sunday, 37.5 hours per week. The contract is ongoing, with the potential for renewal based on performance and service needs.
