Our client is an award-winning Insurance Broker with a market reputation of absolute excellence in all areas of their business, including client care, staff development, insurer support, as well as wider community impact.

They have an excellent opportunity for an experienced SME Account Manager to step into and manage an existing book of SME clients, handling them and their insurance needs, across a broad range of industries and sectors.

It is a nice, loyal client book, with some interesting clients, which needs a good commercially experienced broker to manage it.

About the Role:

  • The role encompasses wide ranging responsibilities relating to the management of a portfolio of commercial clients.
  • You will provide a comprehensive commercial insurance service to existing and some potential new customers which are referred to the business.
  • Provide technical insurance and risk management advice and guidance to customers.
  • Identify opportunities for cross selling of other company services.
  • Negotiate with Underwriters in placing, amending or renewing clients’ insurance programmes.
  • Assist customers in initial reporting when required, support and negotiation with insurers of a satisfactory settlement of claims, as required.
  • Provide risk advice/risk management/risk prevention information in conjunction with Underwriters as appropriate.
  • Contribute towards the development of a high company image of professionalism, competence and customer satisfaction.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • A background in commercial insurance gained in either a broking or underwriting capacity.

Salary/Benefits Information:

  • Salary (depending on experience) £30,000 - £40,000 + excellent bonus and benefits
