Shift Pattern: Continental 4 on / 4 off, 10am 10pm

Salary:£40,000 per year

What will you be doing?

  • Conduct scheduled maintenance, repairs, and enhancements on machinery and equipment to ensure continuous production flow.
  • Regularly monitor and inspect equipment, addressing any potential risks to safety or product quality, and report any issues immediately.
  • Work in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager to carry out necessary repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment checks.
  • Handle various tasks across the production facility, including maintenance of boilers, pasteurisers, and processors, all while adhering to strict health and safety standards.
  • Perform basic plumbing, fabrication, and pipework as needed to support production needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and coordinate stock levels of spare parts with team members.


Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds in electrical and/or mechanical engineering
  • Fabrication skills are beneficial


Experience:

  • Proven background in an FMCG setting (experience in food manufacturing is a plus)
  • Hands-on experience with machine maintenance and shift work
  • Proficiency in MS Office for efficient record-keeping


Knowledge and Skills:


  • Understanding of manufacturing equipment and plant machinery
  • Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an organised and methodical approach
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with an ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
