Role Overview:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be an integral part of our operations, ensuring the smooth running of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault rectification, and ensuring the highest levels of plant reliability. This is a key role that directly impacts the performance of our production lines and the overall success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) on all equipment and machinery across the site.
  • Carry out reactive maintenance tasks in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults, ensuring machinery and equipment operate at peak efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce breakdowns.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Work effectively within a team, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role, ideally within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with the ability to fault-find and repair equipment.
  • Experience working with conveyors, automated systems, and other production machinery.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and control systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (Days).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude towards maintenance and continuous improvement.
