Do you have extensive technical knowledge of Ships including P&L, Class Inspection, Budgets, Dry Docking, Repars, Defects, Claims, Reporting, Spares, navigation equipment, Engines, Stores, Lubricants, purchasing and a willingness to regularly visit the two ROPAX operating in the Irish sea?

Our client are a leading Ship Management company with responsibility for two passenger ferries operating in the Irish sea.

The Role:

  • Technical Superintendent overseeing two Passenger vessels
  • Regularly visiting vessels operating in the Irish Sea
  • Responsible for the operational issues and day to day running
  • Prepare Individual Ship Budgets
  • Oversea Repair and Dry-dockings
  • Arrange Class inspections
  • Rectify defects
  • Oversee Claims
  • Ensure Spare parts are kept in stock
  • Maintain vessel paperwork
  • Arrange Surveys
  • Oversee Technical Machinery, navigation equipment and Hotel/Catering Equipment
  • Manage appropriate Stores, Lubricants and Spares stocks
  • Oversee Planned Maintenance
  • Any other duty as required by Management to ensure safety of vessels

The Person

  • First Class Chief Engineers Certificate or Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering or equivalent
  • Ideally some Experience as a Technical Superintendent Ashore but extensive ROPAX/Ferry experience will be considered
  • Must reside within 2 hours of Dulin or Rosslare.
