About The Role:

The company are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Kitchen/ Furniture Joiner to take a hands-on role in the production of their bespoke joinery projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from machining to the installation of the projects. They design and make luxury furniture to a varied customer base. Professionalism, Quality and craftsmanship is paramount.

The role is crucial in coordinating the workflow, managing resources, scheduling and working closely with their designer to bring each project to life. Experience in CNC machining, timber machining, and panel saw operation is necessary.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervise and coordinate workshop activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
  • Operate and maintain various power tools and hand tools, ensuring they are in good working condition
  • Assemble products according to specifications, using schematics as necessary
  • Perform equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all workshop machinery
  • Assist team members with heavy lifting tasks as required, promoting a collaborative work environment
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
  • Train and mentor staff on best practices for tool usage, safety measures, and assembly techniques
  • Monitor inventory levels of tools and materials, placing orders as needed to maintain stock

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a workshop environment, with strong mechanical knowledge
  • Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics for assembly purposes
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in equipment repair
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management position is preferred but not essential
