Experienced Chef de Partie required to work for an award-winning contract catering company for a staff restaurant, in Abingdon

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join an ever-expanding contract catering company. They are looking for an experienced craft skilled Chef De Partie who is passionate about food, has experience of working within a contract catering setting, and is enthusiastic about using fresh ingredients, sustainability, and the environment.

A person who can drive an ever-evolving food offer, using the best of fresh ingredients, for our day-to-day captive audience of customers on site. You must also have strong communication skills and be a strong team leader who can also build excellent client and customer relationships. Ongoing management training will be provided, basic IT skills essential. Working Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 3.30pm.

The Role
Work alongside the Head chef & Sous Chef to manage kitchen output
Take charge of the kitchen in Head Chef absence
Coking quality fresh meals from fresh ingredients
Ability to manage, train and develop a small team
Compliance with the company food and health and safety policies and the completion of the company due diligence records
Completion of the company bookwork
Ordering
Weekly stocktaking

Ideal candidate will possess:
Excellent craft skills and a passion for great fresh food
Basic food hygiene and health and safety qualifications
A "can do" attitude
The ability to build on the current offering and take the contact to the next level
Basic IT skills
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications.
