There is a great opportunity to get involved in a local Abingdon Primary School, they are recruiting a Classroom Teaching Assistant for an ASAP start.

  • Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm term time only. 40 weeks per year
  • Salary from £83.50 - £90 per day depending on experience and qualification.
  • Daily Commute required to Abingdon.
  • This role is term time only, no weekend or evening work.
  • ASAP start

What the Classroom Teaching Assistant involves:

  • Support the Oxfordshire students in their KS1 & KS2 curriculum.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Create and encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Be able to adapt teaching styles, to suit the individual student. Essential when in 1:1 settings.
  • Collaborate with the excellent teachers, therapists, and other specialists to provide holistic support.
  • Responsible to monitor and report on student progress and behaviour.
  • Be a reliable member of the Teaching Assistant team to offer emotional and behavioural support to the Abingdon students when required.
