We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at Reed Education supporting across school in Oxford and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for providing assistance to the lead teacher in a classroom, as well as working with individual students and small groups who need extra help.

As a teaching assistant, you will:

  • Prepare the classroom for daily activities and lessons.
  • Support and manage students who require additional help.
  • Help teachers plan lessons and complete records.
  • Listen to students read or read to them.
  • Manage student behaviour during activities and lessons.
  • Clean and tidy the classroom after the lessons.

To be a successful teaching assistant, you will need to have:

  • A relevant teaching assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
  • A passion for teaching and learning.
  • A positive and professional attitude.
  • A willingness to adapt to different school environments and expectations.
