About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Site Maintenance Plumber to join our maintenance team at a large research facility based in Abingdon, Oxford. This is a full-time, permanent position with a stable working schedule from Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm.

As a key member of the site maintenance team, you will be responsible for a variety of plumbing duties across the facility, ensuring systems are functioning efficiently and any issues are resolved promptly. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a highly regarded environment, with a competitive salary and access to an on-site pool vehicle for all necessary duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair of plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, drainage, and other related equipment.
  • Respond to emergency plumbing issues, diagnosing problems and implementing repairs efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of plumbing systems to ensure proper functionality.
  • Work closely with the wider maintenance team to address site needs.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Complete any required paperwork and documentation related to repairs and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a plumber in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Plumbing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Full UK driving license (for the on-site pool vehicle).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
