A new role for a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer has been created by a rapidly expanding scientific instrumentation innovator in Abingdon (OX14), providing cutting edge solutions to the most high tech industries.

Joining a growing team, the Manufacturing Engineer will focus on NPI, managing the introduction of new products from R&D through to Production. This opportunity could suit an experienced Technician looking for a step up as well as a more established Production or Manufacturing Engineer.

Manufacturing Engineer key responsibilities:

  • Managing new products from R&D through to Production
  • Assist with creating and maintaining quality documentation for product builds
  • Creating build notes and test procedures
  • Support Engineering Change
  • Work with Design and Engineering team to ensure a smooth NPI process and production readiness
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Lead prototype and post-production build reviews
  • Ensure adherence to IPC standards for wiring and soldering
  • Identify and develop specialized equipment and tooling to improve production efficiency and quality.

The ideal Manufacturing Engineer will have an extensive background in complex electromechanical manufacturing and have familiarity with product data management and product lifecycle. Some design experience with SolidWorks would be advantageous. There is a good salary on offer in addition to benefits including private health cover and a generous share scheme.
