Background
Our client, a leading provider of products within scientific research, are looking for a Scientific Conference and Marketing Associate to join their growing team. The company contribute towards scientific discovery through the provision of innovative life science technology and products for R&D within the medical, cosmetics, nutrition and other sectors. They have been established for 35 years now and work with scientific manufacturers, universities and biotech companies as examples.
Role Summary
Successful candidates will take ownership and manage conference organisation where the company will exhibit or attend, as well as being an active member of the marketing team and contributing to a variety of marketing activities. There are on average 2 conferences a month.
Marketing activities can include data analysis, producing marketing material, supporting literature, writing content for marketing communications and other endeavours. This role is based in the office full time and there is no remote-working.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conference project management including updating conference lists
- Ensuring conferences are registered, have suitable stands booked, suitable topics are selected, and literature and banners are organised as well as give-aways and staff have relevant information to attend
- Administration tasks including managing paperwork, choosing lights, sockets, delivery slots and ensuring all logistics and transportation are confirmed
- Financial tracking to keep a track of spend per conference with receipts, ROI within marketing and finance compliance
- Lead tracking to ensure all new business leads are input on the CRM software
- Communication with stakeholders involved in the conference planning and attendance
- Troubleshooting any issues and keeping a list of any problems encountered and their solutions
- Writing and editing content for marketing channels such as blog posts, educational resources, product descriptions and brochures etc.
- Data analysis
Job Requirements:
- A BSc in a life science degree subject
- Some experience working within a commercial role is preferable
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Excellent MS office skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
