The Mechanical Design Engineer position is a 6-month contract role based in Abingdon, offering up to £40 per hour PAYE or £54 per hour Umbrella.
The role requires a degree in a Mechanical discipline and experience in mechanical design, particularly with high-tech products.
Candidates must have experience using PTC Creo and working on complex scientific instrumentation or systems.
The preferred candidate should be available for onsite work in Abingdon, with possible hybrid working options.

Mechanical Design Engineer – Creo | Abingdon | 6 Month contract Inside IR35 | up to £40 per hour PAYE or £54 per hour Umbrella Our client a leading high technology manufacturer is looking to urgently recruit a temporary contract Mechanical Design Engineer for a minimum of six months. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be reporting into and working for an NPI team who are responsible for highly complex customised scientific systems. You will require experience of working on similar scientific or complex mechanical instrumentation and systems. The Mechanical Design Engineer will need the following skills / experience:

Degree educated in a Mechanical discipline
Experience in working within a mechanical design capacity on high tech mechanical products
Experience of using PTC Creo

Anyone applying to this role will need to be able to commute to Abingdon on a daily basis. There could be the option of hybrid working but the preference is for someone to be onsite.
