Maintenance Operative / Handyman
Abingdon

Our client is seeking a versatile and experienced professional to join their team in Abingdon. This is a varied role, offering the opportunity to work across different trades, including painting and decorating, general handyman duties, carpentry, and fabric work.

Role Overview:

  • Basic salary: £33,000 to £34,500
  • Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm
  • Overtime available: x1.5 Mon-Sat, x2.0 Sun/Bank Holidays
  • 25 Shift Days AL + Bank Holidays

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Carry out painting and decorating tasks across commercial buildings, ensuring a high-quality finish both inside and outside.
  • Prepare and protect surfaces before painting, taking care to deliver professional standards.
  • Maintain and repair painted surfaces as part of routine maintenance programs.
  • Perform general handyman duties, including minor repairs and carpentry tasks.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality expectations.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in additional tasks such as decorative work or other maintenance as needed.
