Metrology Technician 

Location: Didcot 
Salary: £33,000 £36,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:30pm
Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a Metrology Technician to join a growing, high-tech manufacturing and engineering team in Oxfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for precision, a keen eye for detail, and an interest in cutting-edge measurement technologies.

As a Metrology Technician, youll work hands-on with CMM and Blue Light Scanning equipment to inspect high-performance components. You'll play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy, working alongside skilled engineering and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM)

  • Operate blue light scanning equipment

  • Maintain accurate inspection records

  • Support and manage tool calibration to maintain traceability

  • Collaborate with technicians and engineers to improve metrology processes

What Were Looking For:

Essential:

  • Highly organised with the ability to work independently

  • A hands-on, practical approach and eagerness to learn

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Enthusiasm for working in a high-precision environment

Desirable:

  • Experience with automated 3D metrology systems

  • Background in jig/fixture design for measurement

  • Skills in computer coding or data analysis

  • Flexibility to adapt working hours if needed
