IT Procurement Lead
  • Location: Abingdon 2 days a week and the rest remote working

We are seeking an IT Procurement Lead to spearhead our procurement initiatives within the technology sector. This role is ideal for someone who is keen to drive efficiency through sourcing new suppliers and renegotiating existing contracts, all while working closely with senior stakeholders to support our company’s growth in the fast-paced tech industry.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing projects across various IT/Technology spend categories.
  • Engage with C-level stakeholders, nurturing relationships to highlight the value of Procurement.
  • Guide and mentor internal customers through full lifecycle sourcing projects, identifying opportunities to innovate third-party consultancy solutions.
  • Define and implement category strategies, introducing best-in-class supplier management initiatives and innovative ‘value-add’ procurement initiatives.
  • Maintain the Asset Management process, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of all hardware and software assets.
  • Analyse IT procurement and spend, providing insights and reporting on variances and trends.
  • Support regular IT contract expiry and renewal meetings, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Significant procurement experience within the Technology spend category.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex IT sourcing projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with a demonstrated ability to influence decision-making.
  • Degree or CIPS qualification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and familiarity with financial and ERP software tools.
