We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated Lecturer in Health & Social Care to join a growing department. This role is ideal for individuals with relevant industry experience, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to providing high-quality education and support to our learners across Levels 1 - 3, including T-Levels.

Day to Day of the role of a Health and Social Care Lecturer:
  • Deliver impactful and quality teaching, learning, and assessment across various levels of Health & Social Care courses.
  • Provide support and guidance to learners, ensuring their success and progression.
  • Coordinate curriculum in conjunction with the Study Programme Lead and Curriculum Manager, adhering to external policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement robust Quality Assurance procedures in line with awarding body and college expectations.
  • Engage in liaison with parents/careers, monitoring and reporting on learner performance.
  • Plan and coordinate enrichment opportunities for learners, such as guest speakers, trips, and visits.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Health and Social Care Lecturer:
  • Relevant industry experience in Health & Social Care.
  • FE teaching experience is desirable, with experience of delivering Level 3 Biology being an advantage.
  • Enthusiastic, committed, and flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to function effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills.
  • Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, the college supports gaining the Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET) within the first year of employment.
