Junior/Trainee Maintenance Technician
A fantasic opportunity is now available for a technicially minded person, with good practicial engineering or maintenance skills, to develop a career in Maintenance Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and emergency repairs to mechanical equipment
- Use the scheduled maintenance control system
- Routine maintenance on plant service equipment - Vessels & cooling towers etc.
- Observe the workplace and report/repair faulty equipment
- Maintain stocks of engineering consumables
- Carry out and/or assist in routine testing and inspection of engineering equipment and systems
Qualifications & Experience
- Mechanical engineering qualifications or the ability to demonstrate experience and competence in this area
- A minimum of 1 year work experience in a maintenance or engineering environment
- Some electrical engineering awareness ideal
- Any previous welding or fabricating experiance would be avantagious but full traing will be provided.
- Full UK driving licence
- Team player with good communications skills
- Physically fit due to the hands-on nature of the role
Further training will be provided in all aspects of the role, including TIG Welding etc
