Are you passionate about quality excellence in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment? We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team and help ensure our aircraft engine components meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
As our Quality Engineer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and improving our Quality Management Systems while supporting operations across the business. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a global aerospace manufacturing company committed to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal and external audits (Systems, Supplier & Product) and maintain a rolling audit plan
- Lead problem investigations to identify and correct non-conformances
- Review supplier concessions, production permits, and First Article Inspection Reports
- Analyse quality data to identify trends, potential risks, and improvement opportunities
- Generate and manage key quality metrics including Escapes, Scrap, Rework, and Right First Time
- Create and manage the internal audit plan, ensuring all auditors are properly trained
- Update quality procedures and work instructions within the Quality Management System
- Support shop floor personnel as a quality subject matter expert
- Participate in business improvement activities and process improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Experience in aerospace/aviation manufacturing or equivalent technical background
- Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience
- Strong knowledge of quality and process standards relevant to aerospace manufacturing
- Proven auditing skills and experience
- Data-driven problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Commitment to workplace safety and environmental health
- Track record of delivering measurable results
