We’re working with a well-established engineering company in Accrington, looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their growing team.

This well-established engineering business has been a leader in its field for over 40 years, earning a strong reputation. They offer a supportive and friendly work culture and high employee retention, reflecting their commitment to valuing and investing in their staff.

They are now looking for a skilled Credit Controller to replace a retiring team member. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking stability, opportunity to learn new skills and the chance to be part of a business that truly appreciates its employees.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage outstanding debtor accounts and keep customer records accurate and up to date.
  • Perform credit assessments for new customers to evaluate their financial reliability.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements for overdue balances with a professional and friendly approach.
  • Monitor the daily cash balances on the bank and understand the cash flow position in relation to outstanding debt.
  • Provide regular credit control reports and updates on progress
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with both customers and key internal stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage collection time frames pro-actively over the phone and via email.

You’ll be tasked with managing accounts, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining great client relationships, all while ensuring payments are made on time.
