Your new role as Head of FinanceLeading the finance function within this dynamic manufacturing business you shall take the lead on the production of meaningful management accounts, ensuring robust financial controls and accurate reporting whilst maintaining a commercial focus. With full responsibility for transactional finance, financial planning and development/enhancement of financial process and procedure you shall play a key role in supporting the Finance Director. As Head of Finance you shall ensure continuous improvement across process whilst your hands-on approach will enable the decision making process in a dynamic, fast paced business environment. o Lead the finance function and day to day financial activity of the business, to include AP, AR, Credit control and Payrollo Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.o Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.o Provide detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.o Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure we are achieving our objectives.o Drive improvements in KPI reporting to enhance operational and financial efficiency.o Ongoing maintenance, optimisation and analysis to the standard costing process, utilising the inhouse ERP system to enable decision making, improving cost control and enhancing operational efficiency.o Maintain tight financial controls with reviews of processes to identify and mitigate risks.o Take full responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the balance sheet and trial balance.o Liaise with auditors, ensuring smooth and efficient audit processes.o Supervision, upskilling and training of junior finance staff.Experience & Skills required to apply:- Proven experience as a Finance Lead, managing and developing staff in a fast paced environment. - Strong knowledge of month-end process in a large corporate business - Formally qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members and external stakeholders.- Experience within the manufacturing arena, with a focus on cost control and costing in this sector- Experience with inter company transactionsKenton Black Finance operate across the UK as a market leading recruitment partner, specialising in the attraction of finance talent across both permanent and interim requirements.
