Bensons for Beds is looking for a new and experienced Merchandiser to join our Buring team based in Accrington.

Reporting to the Head of Merchandising, this role will be responsible for supporting and maintaining all aspects of the merchandising function for a specific category by ensuring that products are ranged effectively and available for on demand delivery to customers.

So, what will you do?

Along with managing and leading direct reports and controlling lead times to ensure product availability, you will:

  • Forecasting for UK and or overseas suppliers dependant on category
  • Works closely with Buying to ensure product lead times are in line with forecast
  • Works closely with Marketing Manager to publish updates to stores and other departments regarding product issues
  • Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis to Head of Merchandising on range performance and stock levels and changes in consumer landscape.
  • Constantly reviewing processes and ways of working. Where necessary, introducing changes to increase efficiency
  • Complete bi-annual range reviews by product and category with recommendations for new and discontinued lines.
  • Prepare and present product range plans, ensuring they are on brand and within operational and financial parameters.

Who do we want?

We are looking for an experienced merchandising professional, with experience of managing a small team, and working within a similar role and industry. You also need experience of managing margins, forecasting and budgeting. Along with:
