Working exclusively with our industry leading client in the Accrington area, NW Recruitment Services are looking to recruit an R&D Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our client's growing team, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to design and develop new products for their range.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Install rotating manual and electric seats using car specific kits and following instructions and best practice both on and off-site
  • Put together installation kits for electric and manual seats for partner companies from Installation Kit Parts sheet
  • Working initially with R&D partner company, develop further baseplates, wiring details and installation kits for all rotating seats in cars as the requirement arises.
  • Update CAD with new drawings of developed baseplates both electric and manual
  • Using existing Installation Kit template, create required paperwork for newly developed seats
  • Update Vehicle Installation Kit Index spreadsheet for newly developed seats
  • Develop and understanding of the workings of the electric rotating seats and fault finding skills
  • Technical support for partner companies who are installing products
  • Ensure stock levels of parts for installation kits are kept up to date

Skills Required:

  • Working knowledge of electrical circuits, either low voltage or high voltage, including installation skills
  • Mechanical and installation experience
  • Engineering skills and experience
  • Computer literate with good skills in Word, Excel and CAD as a minimum
  • Be able to follow instructions and work in a methodical manner

Hours of Work:

Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:00 and 08:30 - 16:00 Friday
