Description

As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implement HR strategies and initiatives in line with the overall business strategy.

You will also play a critical role in managing and optimising the full employee lifecycle for the manufacturing division. This role will oversee recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance, and the overall well-being of the workforce.

  • Implement and manage employee recognition programs to enhance morale and retention.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving employee performance, engagement, and productivity.
  • Support leadership development initiatives to cultivate a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to workplace safety, labor laws, and company policies..
  • Advocate for employee well-being, including mental health support, work-life balance initiatives, and wellness programs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to design and manage compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure competitive salary structures and benefits offerings in line with industry standards.
  • Oversee payroll processes and resolve any payroll-related issues.
  • Analyse HR data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare regular HR reports for senior leadership, providing insights into employee turnover, retention, satisfaction, and other key metrics.

Profile

A successful HR Manager will have:

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
  • Proven ability to manage recruitment, employee relations, and performance management processes in a fast-paced, unionised and operationally focused environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HR software (e.g., HRIS, payroll systems) and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to influence and support teams across various departments.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, able to navigate complex employee situations and provide practical solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of how HR practices impact the manufacturing and operational goals of the business.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to driving improvements in HR processes and programs.
