CareerMakers Recruitment are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager on behalf of our client based in Altham, BB5.The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset and oversee the overall manufacturing process within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and organisation of the production/manufacturing processes.
  • Complete regular stock checks to ensure the correct equipment and materials are available for projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure production machinery are operational and efficient.
  • Prepare cost estimates and budget required for a manufacturing proposal.
  • Ensure production complies with established quality control specifications and standards.
  • Monitor and supervise the activities of the production team to ensure effective performance of job duties.
  • Assign work schedules and tasks to technical employees.
  • Ensure the manufacturing and production team comply with set health and safety policies when carrying out job duties.
  • Analyse and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or issues.
  • Oversee the purchases of raw materials and equipment required for manufacturing.
  • Complete regular quality assessments to ensure product quality and specification are consistent.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise production efficiency, reduce costs and improve product quality
  • Travelling to other sites will be involved (driving licence necesary)

Skills

  • Proven experience in operations management.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis is advantageous.

Working hours:Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm

Payrate: Negotiable DOE
