A leading construction company are seeking to recruit an Office Administrator to work within their open office Team. This company are search for a confident communicator who is professional, able to work well under pressure and contribute within a small team. This role is office-based in Accrington, Lancashire, offering tailored working hours and career progression, along with other great benefits. Standard working hours are Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5pm with 30min lunch break, there can be some flexibility around this if required for the right candidate.
Your new role
As Office Administrator you will be expected to support the wider office team, which will include:
- Receptionist duties, answering calls, emailing, filling, updating spreadsheets, dealing with contracts and important documentation.
- Assisting the accounts team with general administration during busy periods and assisting high management when and if required.
- You will be expected to work closely with colleagues, offering help and support with all administrative tasks.
- Ensuring the correct person knows that deliveries have been made and arranging for them to be stored correctly - and the reception area is kept clear
- Photocopying including plan printing
- Archiving including Contract Files
- Scanning and archiving file returns from site and checking everything returned
- Adding PPE requests to spreadsheet
- Keeping the Hardware Equipment Log up to date
- Keeping the contracts list up to date
What you'll need to succeed
- In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have excellent verbal/ written communication skills and have a pleasant.
- Friendly tone over the phone to clients and customers, and overall have a good team work ethic.
- You must have the ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively and a good understanding of technical and IT skills, particularly when it comes to database management and spreadsheets, whilst also possessing an eye for attention to detail.
