About Us:We are a vibrant and friendly primary school located in Accrington, dedicated to providing high-quality education and fostering a nurturing environment for all of our students. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 teacher to join our team in providing PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) cover for part-time hours.
Role Overview:As a Key Stage 2 PPA Cover Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects for our Year 3, 4, 5, and 6 pupils. You will be working alongside our dedicated teaching staff to ensure a smooth transition and continuation of learning during planning and assessment periods. This is a part-time position offering a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, engaging lessons for Key Stage 2 classes (Years 3-6).
- Ensure that the learning needs of all students are met, maintaining a positive classroom environment.
- Follow the school's curriculum and ensure effective learning strategies are implemented.
- Support students with a range of abilities, differentiating where necessary.
- Maintain and uphold high standards of classroom management and behavior.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members to ensure smooth running of the school day.
- Mark and assess students' work in line with school policies and procedures.
- Attend staff meetings and relevant training as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Key Stage 2 is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
- A passion for education and fostering a positive learning environment.
- A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
