Support Worker - Accrington
About the Role:
We are looking for compassionate Support Workers to support young people with mental health challenges in East Lancashire. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centered care, helping promote recovery, independence, and overall well-being. The role involves assisting with daily living, engaging in therapeutic activities, and ensuring a positive and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement planned interventions and activities to support young people.
- Provide assistance with personal care, including hygiene, nutrition, and daily routines.
- Support therapeutic programmes and help young people engage in community activities.
- Observe and record mental health, physical health, and risk-related information.
- Follow all safeguarding procedures and ensure mandatory training is up-to-date.
- Monitor physical health, including blood pressure, temperature
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience working with young people or in mental health settings is desired.
Skills & Qualities:
- Compassionate, respectful, and committed to providing person-centered care.
- Strong communication skills for effective engagement with young people, families, and professionals.
- Team-oriented, able to follow care plans and risk assessments.
- Willingness to work on a rolling shift rota and maintain professional boundaries.
