A dynamic opportunity has arisen for a CMM Programmer to join an established quality department within a precision engineering company. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, this role involves conducting 'first off,' batch, and final inspections of high-precision machined parts. You will play a critical part in ensuring all parts meet stringent quality standards. This role is essential in supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining quality assurance processes across the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • CMM programming to create a library of programmes for a wide range of parts and components.
  • Perform 'first off' and final inspections, utilising and programming CMM and manual precision measuring equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts, helping to refine quality procedures and policies.
  • Ensure that all parts conform to specified drawing tolerances and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the production team to address and resolve quality issues.
  • Generate NCR reports and ensure calibration of all inspection equipment.


Requirements:

  • CMM Programming experience
  • GD&T knowledge of dimensions, tolerances and ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Ability to carry out Offline programming


Location: Accrington
Perm: competitive ££
Hours: 40 hours per week.
