Company Overview:

Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is experiencing sustained growth and is looking to expand their team with a Freelance Site Engineer based in Wick, North of Scotland. This role is critical to ensuring the project is well-managed and delivered on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering civil engineering projects, particularly in substations, renewables, wind farms, and roads. Due to the remote location of this role, accommodation will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out and surveying.
  • Conducting quality checks on as-built drawings.
  • Communicating and interpreting drawings to site staff.
  • Ensuring safety targets and standards are consistently maintained.
  • Administering and keeping accurate records of Quality Assurance systems on site.
  • Liaising with designers and management teams.
  • Attending and contributing to progress meetings.

  • Site Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 19:00pm.
