Drivers Mate needed
SureStaffing UK Ltd are looking to recruit Drivers Mate, for our client based in Normanton area. Our client is delivering efficient and cost-effective new and refurbished store environments.
Responsibilities and Duties of a Drivers Mate
- Packing and loading the vehicle, taking account of the delivery order and making sure that items are easily accessible.
- Assist with collecting items (weighing ~27kg) from stores across the UK, ROI, and NI.
- Palletise items and return them to client's depot.
- Accompany drivers in a Luton van (up to 6 stops per day).
- Checking that all of the items are accounted for against delivery sheets.
- Examining the vehicle before setting off, checking the load is safe.
- Planning routes, navigating and advising the driver about diversions.
- Helping unload goods at the delivery point.
Requirements:
- Comfortable with occasional longer shifts and nights out (accommodation provided in hotels).
- Physically capable of lifting and handling items in pairs.
Shift times for a Drivers Mate:
- Duration: 6th January 2025 - 31st January 2025.
- Various hours
- Flexibility is required
- Work may involve nights-out
- Travel: Nationwide, including Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Pay Rates for Drivers Mate:
- 11.44/ hour
- Overtime 14 after 8 hours (night out paid separately)
