As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for leading the end-to-end commercial management for large-scale subcontract packages, ensuring profitability, compliance, and stakeholder alignment on a major infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all commercial activities, from tender negotiations to final accounts, for subcontract packages exceeding 10m.
- Drive cost forecasting, risk mitigation, and financial reporting to maximise project margins.
- Mentor junior surveyors while collaborating with project directors to align commercial strategy with delivery goals.
- Ensure NEC contract compliance, issuing timely contractual notices and resolving disputes proactively.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver seamless end-to-end project execution.
Requirements:
- 5+ years as a Quantity Surveyor, with 2+ years in a senior role on infrastructure/heavy civil engineering projects.
- Expertise in NEC contracts and managing subcontract packages (5m+ value).
- Proven success in cost control, risk analysis, and final account resolution.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior staff.
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field (RICS accreditation preferred).
