A Worldwide Manufacturing Business who is one of the largest players in their field has an immediate opportunity for a Management Accountant on a 6 month FTC with a view to Perm to join their expanding Accountancy and Shared Service Team. The key focus of the role is the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheets and cashflow statements.

Main Responsibilities;

Management Accounting

  • Calculate and maintain monthly accruals and prepayments.
  • Prepare and post journals as appropriate and ensure appropriate pre-approvals with back-ups are maintained.
  • Cost allocation for (but not limited to) Fleet, Fuel, Phone, Travel, Medical Insurance, e.t.c.
  • Preparation of monthly Structural Costs (overheads, "Struco") transaction report, understanding of actual results and providing commentary
  • Credit card processing, chasing/preparing journals for postings.
  • Calculation and raising invoices for intercompany recharges (global cost, salary, expenses), including backup details, and dealing with queries with trading partners.
  • Raise Fixed Asset numbers.
  • Reconcile plan on lease information.
  • Reconciling intercompany accounts and resolve differences between partners.
  • Perform balance sheet accounts reconciliations for designated area of responsibility.
  • Maintain robust processes and controls to facilitate P&L integrity. (e.g., Work with various teams to ensure gl’s are appropriately used),

Accounts Payable Support & Oversight

  • Readsoft - clearing workflow on daily basis, advise on cost allocations.
  • Liaising with AP team to ensure all entries were posted correctly during the month.
  • Reconciling suppliers accounts
  • Chasing suppliers for VAT invoices (proforma)
  • Payment Runs (in collaboration with FSS) and Payment Approvals

Reporting & Statutory Obligations

  • Tagetik Reporting and data inputs as required; for e.g Intercompany.
  • Preparation and support for quarterly, half-yearly and annual reporting.

Audit & Adhoc

  • Provide support during statutory and internal audits.
  • Ensure consistent documentation of all tasks and activities according to internal policies.

This role is very varied so the ability to manage multiple activities is key. You will be highly motivated, currently studying for your CIMA/ACCA or Newly Qualified and be a proficient user of SAP and Advanced Excel.
