As a Senior Anaesthetic Nurse, you will:
- Deliver safe, quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase.
- Support, coordinate, and assist in managing and organising care within the operating department.
- Provide clinical and managerial leadership to ensure quality patient care.
- Lead patient care delivery during lists or specified periods.
- Ensure adherence to patient safety policies.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of yourself and others.
- Promote best evidence-based practice within your scope.
- Apply relevant legislation, policies, and procedures correctly.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Anaesthetic Nurse role will have:
- Registration with NMC or HCPC.
- Post-registration qualification relevant to the specialty.
- Approved/recognised anaesthetic course.
- ILS and Orthopaedic skills.
- Mentorship qualification and ILM3.
- Experience in an acute healthcare environment.
- Experience in managing and leading a clinical team.
