A local school are looking for an Office Administrator Specialist focusing on Attendance. This role requires a high level of accuracy and efficiency in administrative and clerical support within the school, providing excellent and proactive front-line customer service to families and visitors.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide effective specialist support in areas such as Attendance, Admissions, Inclusion, or other appropriate specialist roles, with flexibility according to operational needs.
  • Research and analyse data relevant to your current specialism and prepare reports, proposals, and recommendations.
  • Liaise and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of your specialist area of responsibility.
  • Undertake general admin duties to support the efficient function of the office team.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and distribute key school information as necessary.
  • Support teachers and leadership with administrative tasks for school trips and events.
  • Manage the school reception effectively, ensuring a warm and professional welcome for visitors and handling all enquiries efficiently.
  • Use the school’s communication and IT systems to support effective communication and operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • An awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
  • Experience working in an office environment  
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Educated to GCSE Standard at Grade A – C for a minimum of 5 GCSEs including Mathematics and English, or equivalent qualifications
  • Previous reception / administrative experience within a school environment 
  • Experience of school software packages such as Arbor
