Team Leader: Regulatory Applications (12-Month Temporary Contract)

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for managing teams, navigating change, and driving operational excellence? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy problem-solving complex issues? We have an exciting opportunity to lead a specialist administrative team on a hybrid work pattern - 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home - for a 12-month assignment.

About the Role

As the Team Leader, you’ll be at the heart of the business mission to regulate products in a dynamic and evolving environment. This role places you in a leadership position, managing a team of up to 15 skilled individuals responsible for application-related activities governed by strict targets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide line management and leadership, ensuring your team is motivated, performing effectively, and prioritising their wellbeing.
  • Quickly familiarise yourself with team workflows, triage procedural issues, and implement solutions to optimise performance.
  • Oversee day-to-day business-as-usual (BAU) work, freeing up the Head of Team to focus on strategic projects.
  • Lead the implementation of new legislation within the team and across the wider business.
  • Champion compliance with ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 27001 (information security), GDPR, and record management standards.

About You

We’re looking for a natural leader who is adaptable, analytical, and excels under pressure. Strong management and leadership skills are essential.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in staff management and motivation, including navigating complex and high-pressure environments.
  • Strong operational delivery experience, capable of juggling priorities and multitasking effectively.
  • A confident communicator skilled in facilitating difficult conversations and driving corporate initiatives.
  • Change management expertise, ensuring business and people readiness.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, especially Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
