Class 2 Driver

Monday - Friday:

Pay Rate: £14.50 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Day to Day Duties

  • Driving Class 2 vehicles for the delivery of on Construction materials
  • Carrying out pre and post-journey vehicle checks
  • Ensuring timely delivery to customers and depots
  • Loading and unloading dairy products
  • Completing delivery paperwork and logs accurately
  • Operating the vehicle in accordance with all legal and company safety requirements
  • Following assigned delivery routes while adhering to time schedules
  • Communicating with the logistics team regarding any delays or issues on the road

Essential Skills

  • Valid UK Category C driving licence (held for a minimum of two years)
  • Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
  • Valid digital tachograph card (Digi Card)
  • Good understanding of driving safety and regulations
  • Good time management and communication skills
  • Physically fit and capable of handling goods if required

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience delivering perishable goods or working in the food and beverage industry
  • Familiarity with local and regional road networks
  • Good customer service skills
  • Experience using in-vehicle technology and navigation systems
  • Flexibility to cover extra shifts if necessary
