HGV Class 1 Driver

StaffCo Direct are operating as an employment business and actively recruiting for Class 1 Drivers for a company based in Motherwell.

We are looking for highly motivated Class 1 Day & Night Drivers with valid licenses, who can take on the company’s ethos and assist us in the support of our client’s day-to-day operation.

Remuneration:

Monday to Friday Days – £16.85

Monday to Friday Nights – £19.85

Saturday Days – £19.85

Saturday Nights - £25.85

Sunday - £22.85

Overtime payable after 42 or 45 depending on rota.

Weekly holiday pay accrued additional to the above rates.

Responsibilities:

• This will involve driving box trailers doing between 3 -5 drops per shift.
• Some drops may include handball with others being forklift off.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
• Start times available around the clock.

Experience/Skills & Competencies:

• HGV1/ LGV1 UK-issued License is required (Must have license for at least 12 months)
• Current and Valid CPC and Digi Tacho
• No more than 6 penalty points (no IN DR or DD codes)
• Experience driving container loaded trailers
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
• Great communication skills
• Professional attitude
