Our client, a highly respected name in UK Construction, well-regarded for their commitment to staff development is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to work on large-scale public building projects.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead and motivate a project team of managers and specialists.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing work culture.
  • Provide mentoring and performance management support.

Project Governance & Reporting:

  • Monitor project progress and align it with business objectives.
  • Prepare and present internal and external project updates.
  • Lead regular project reviews to maintain accountability.

Commercial & Contract Management:

  • Manage project budgets, cost control, and procurement processes.
  • Oversee supplier relationships and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Maximize resource efficiency and cost recovery.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

  • Promote a “Zero Harm” safety culture.
  • Conduct site safety reviews and support incident investigations.

Quality & Continuous Improvement:

  • Ensure project quality aligns with client expectations.
  • Lead initiatives for efficiency and productivity improvements.

Digital & Data Leadership:

  • Advocate for digital tools in construction
  • Train teams on relevant digital platforms.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

  • Proven experience leading large-scale MEP projects.
  • Strong knowledge of contract forms and commercial management.
  • Effective communicator at all levels.
  • Skilled in budget and resource management.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to project management.

Desirable:

  • BSc/MSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Membership in professional bodies
  • Certifications: APM PFQ/PMQ/PPQ or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 and project management tools.
