Our client is seeking a Management Accountant to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, budgets, reports, and analysis. You will be key support to the Group Financial Controller and participate in month-end reviews with the CFO. Your strong technical skills in inventory, costing, and valuation methods will be crucial for accurate tracking and monitoring of inventory. This role also involves coordination with supply chain and warehouse management teams around stock movements and monthly stock counts.

What you'll do:

As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of our client's business. You will be responsible for preparing and owning management accounts, performing balance sheet reconciliations, participating in budget preparation, expense management activities, and collaborating with other departments. Your strong technical skills will be utilised in tracking and monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with supply chain teams, agreeing on intercompany transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

* Preparation and ownership of management accounts including prepayments and accruals* Performing balance sheet reconciliations* Participating in budget preparation and expense management activities* Collaborating with other departments particularly in budget preparation* Tracking and monitoring of inventory levels, costs, analysis and posting of monthly and annual inventory journals* Coordinating with supply chain and warehouse management teams around stock movements and monthly stock counts* Agreement of intercompany transactions and monthly reconciliations with other businesses within the Group* Monthly reconciliation of VAT returns in preparation of quarterly filings to HMRC ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations
