- Use and control of EDM machines
- Ability to read and understand CNC machine code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
- Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
- Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Previous experience setting up and operating EDM machines
- Be familiar with quality and manufacturing standards
- Well-versed working within a high-precision industry, on precision components / products (aerospace, automotive, rail, automotive, nuclear etc)
- Ability to read data cards and work instructions
