Shift Pattern: Monday to Wednesday: 16:30 - 02:30, Thursday: 16:30 - 01:30

A well-established engineering company is seeking an EDM Setter Operator to join their team on the late shift. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in Aerospace, Engineering, or Manufacturing, looking for a hands-on position in a precision-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate EDM machines and other relevant equipment in accordance with procedures
  • Read and interpret CNC machine code to set up and operate machinery
  • Understand set-up parameters such as datum setting, tool length, and wear offsets
  • Set up work holding and tooling according to required procedures
  • Complete machining operations efficiently, following Job Card instructions
  • Conduct in-process inspections using appropriate measuring equipment
  • Identify and report non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are taken
  • Accurately log work within the MRP system to maintain production records
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace following 5S principles
  • Support root cause analysis to prevent production issues
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
Key Skills & Experience:
  • 1-2 years' experience in Aerospace, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a similar environment (desirable)
  • Familiarity with quality and manufacturing standards
  • Ability to produce first-off components to specification
  • Strong understanding of work handling, inspection, and documentation procedures
  • Training and mentoring experience to support colleagues (desirable)
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and detail-oriented
  • A team player with a positive, "can-do" attitude
