Transport & Logistics Planner - Saint-Gobain Roofspace, Alcester

At Roofspace, part of Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, we're proud to be industry leaders in prefabricated roofs and houses. Right now, we're looking for a super-organised, efficiency-driven Transport & Logistics Planner to help us keep the wheels turning (literally!).

Based in our Alcester office, this role is all about coordination, problem-solving, and making sure our products arrive where they need to be, on time, every time.

What you'll be doing:

As a Transport & Logistics Planner, your mission is to ensure the smooth and safe delivery of our products to customers, balancing production timelines, third-party logistics, and customer expectations. Every day will bring new challenges and opportunities to make a difference.

Here's a snapshot of your responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with yard, operations, and production teams to ensure deliveries run like clockwork.
  • Managing daily schedules, loading plans, and updates to reflect changes in real-time.
  • Booking transport and cranes, liaising with suppliers to resolve delivery issues.
  • Monitoring and improving logistics efficiency to drive cost savings and enhance service quality.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for hauliers, crane companies, and customer delivery queries.
  • Preparing detailed loading plans for safe, efficient yard operations.
  • Maintaining up-to-date delivery and performance stats, and assisting with stocktakes as needed.
  • Continuously looking for ways to improve processes and reduce waste.
