Are you a skilled fabricator/welder looking for your next challenge? Our client, a leader in bespoke factory automation systems and machinery, is seeking a Fabricator/Welder to join their new state-of-the-art 18,000 sq. ft. facility in Alcester.

About the Company:
This rapidly expanding business specializes in factory automation, control systems, robotics, and more. With their growth comes the need to enhance in-house production and metal fabrication capacity, which is where your skills come in.

The Role:
As part of a dedicated team, you will take responsibility for metal fabrication tasks, including MIG & TIG welding and operating a brake press. This role offers a chance for development, including the potential to learn how to operate CNC machinery and laser cutting equipment. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and eager to contribute to a hardworking and close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Being the key person for safe, yet efficient running of a brake press
  • Being the key person for welding
  • Delivering everything you touch to the highest possible standards
  • Interpreting technical drawings/documents
  • Have the confidence to ask questions, make suggestions
  • Advising on the right processes and using your experience to recommend the best suppliers
  • Ensure operations conform with the company's health and safety standards
  • Ensuring you consistently and accurately log projects with timesheet reporting
  • Completing necessary admin tasks in sync with production

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in fabrication shop environments.
  • Competent in both MIG and TIG welding.
  • Experienced in operating brake press machinery.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Friendly, hardworking, with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, and emotional intelligence.
